Thirty Democrats voted for her
Warms the heart, doesn't it.

sarcasm off>

Two heads of the same Snake imo

The Dem head is a little kinder gentler in its approach but ultimately
still attached to the same Corporatist Snake as the repubs.

Dear Mr. President it has recently come to our attention that the
rubber stamp we have been provided is wearing thin could you Please FedEx one over here asap.

Thank You so Much.
Joseph Lieberman &
The Democrats
Cheers
p.s. give Laura & the girls our best wishes.

2. There are True Dem's left in the Party they are the minority
We need them now more than ever to use there voices and remind other
Democrats what they are supposed to

Stand For

& Stand Against.

Three cheers for the 12 or 13 Dem's that voted against this abomination of an appointment. They showed their true colors.

SOLID BLUE!

6. NO
that's why I said "sadly"

I expected more of them to cave in, and that is not a happy thought

I am DELIGHTED that so many voted 'no'

13. "So Many"? All of 13? That is many? In my very humble opinion,
that is only a few.

11. political expediency
She was gonna win anyways, and what remains is how much pork you can
bring home for your constituency to get reelected. People will forget
this vote, but the repukes won't and the true blue heros will pay in
legislative blood, for every symbolic act of dissent, until their
own legislative adgenda is completely blocked themselves.

And then what are you elected for, simply to stand in the chamber,
get nothing achieved, except shouting no no no no no? With all 3
branches bought and paid for, these poor legislators are not really
in the position to be the heros that some of y'all are expecting them
to be.

12. You are right as far as expedience goes.
If all this is only about what can be gleaned from the pork barrel. And if that is all there is, then there is no reason for anyone to support anyone other than the one who is already in office squeezing the most pork. There has to be another reason for these men and women to be in government...
