One silver lining in this True Hell even the RWs are starting to see...
Every single thing the republicans THOUGHT they were voting for?

SURPRISE!

Hate the UN?

SURPRISE! We had to ask them to ask for financial help!

Hate Old Europe?

SURPRISE! Guess who the UN asked to help us!

Think the US dollar is top dog?

SURPRISE! Like most 3-world nations, it's "unstable currency"!

bush supports the troops?

SURPRISE! Veterans benefits to be cut as they "hurt National Security" and anyways gthey're just Congress' generosity!

HUD?

SURPRISE! Cuts!

MEDICAID?

SURPRISE! Cuts!

Troops home?

SURPRISE! 10 more years for Iraq and a New Start in Vietran!

NOT what they thought they were voting for, is it. And they're gonna hurt just as bad as anyone.

I find that a comforting thought.

3. My thoughts exactly.

Sometimes a person's choice can be distilled down to, "what side is those liberals on? OK, I'm on the opposite side." Simple minded logic for really simple people. That's what 20 years of conditioning via TV programming can do to one's brain.

It's like people who ID with their favorite sports team. It doesn't matter how bad their team is, they'll never root for the other guys. Sadly, politics ain't no game. While they're in the stands watching their team "win" (because the refs are throwing the game), the team's owners are busy cleaning out their homes.

9. Repukes suffer a collective case of Oppositional Defiant Disorder
ODD, as it's also called, is a mental disorder which first shows up in kids, and often still present in adults who act like bratty kids (namely, right-wing Rethugs), and is characterized by an endless pattern of deliberate obstructionism, hostility, and spite.

The DSM-IV standards for ODD:

A pattern of negativistic, hostile, and defiant behavior lasting at least 6 months, during which four (or more) of the following are present:
*often loses temper (when confronted with the truth)
*often argues with adults (read: liberals)
*often actively defies or refuses to comply with adults' requests or rules (see above)
*often deliberately annoys people
*often blames others for his or her mistakes or misbehavior (If this doesn't describe childish conservatives, then what does?)
*is often touchy or easily annoyed by others (They can dish it out, but can't take it)
*is often angry and resentful
*is often spiteful or vindictive (Now I know why Repukes vote against their own economic interests--to spite Democrats!)

Note: Consider a criterion met only if the behavior occurs more frequently than is typically observed in individuals of comparable age and developmental level.

6. I prefer to laugh at them.
I think we have to make it clear just who is screwing up America. If it takes a little longer for them to face the truth because we're making fun of them so be it. They love to see us cry. It's like music to their ears. I think we need to rub their nose in the mess they've made.

7. I can do that. Normally I abhor people who gloat, but
I'll make an exception for the next, umm, I don't know, maybe four years?
