I can say that I've got my volume turned all the way up, and can hear Bob if I stay at the keyboard and don't have anything else going on in the room. I'll be listening in while I catch up on paperwork here in my "office."

I got my answer. Not the one I wanted to hear, but thats how it goes.

I tell you here and now that AAR is the hardest group to do business with that I have ever encountered! I've been trying to get rights to their shows for over a year now, and am willing to pay for them, but they refuse to contract with me for the rights. And I had an insider working on this for me, too!

And yet, they allow pirate sites like Air America Place to archive their shows without permission, and worse, to infringe upon their trademark!

I have permission for each and every show I archive. I wouldn't do this any other way, but it really, really irks me that others are doing for free, and illegally, what I would happily pay for and do legally and professionally.

I'll stop griping now...

my relations have been good with AAR. (as far as getting on the air) the staff for Randi and Laura Flanders were very professional and nice to me... and being on air with Laura was a big treat!

As have the management, really. Never impolite.

However, I offered to give them comprehensive archives from DAY ONE of AAR's broadcasting and even to pay them royalties, but they insisted that they were going to roll out their own archives!

And as you can see, a year has gone by, and no archives except illegal ones. They have repeatedly said on their web site that archives were coming. They even got people to sign up to get in the queue to be charter subscribers at a lower rate. And still nothing at all.

I could have them 100% up and running in a month, probably less, and at no outlay to them other than for the dedicated ISDN stream to my studio. And I would even PAY them a substantial portion of each subscription.

I simply do not understand what they think they are accomplishing? Every month they don't do this is a month of revenue that can never be recovered.

Dealing with me would be good for them, good for me, and good for the listeners.

New computer, and better speakers. Guy James sounds even better. (On my old speakers I could hardly hear the show well, almost having to use my imagination at times!)

Not live, obviously, but I don't use cookies. (Though Amazon and a couple of my other bannered affiliates do.)

I wanted to mention I appreciated hearing part of Julio's call tonight from Florida. He REALLY gets busy and reads everything he cana get his hands on, apparently. Very impressed.

They need to hear it continually. Even MORE than we heard about Bill Clinton. What he did was far, far worse.

Great idea inviting right-wingers to call next week to debate Social Security. This is a totally new approach. Right-wing show hosts despise Democratic callers, and cut them off. You deal with them, and successfully, too.

I'll bet that could keep some of them listening, just to see if any of their fellow loons can make a stand against you, using the bent, mangled, barely recognizable truth they've been getting and accepting, against the actual truth.
