Chuck Hagel on CNN said "we have a long road to go"

(10:45 Eastern time)

I have to admit I like Hagel - he speaks the truth about Bush & Co.

He was just on cautioning everybody about not getting too excited about today's election. Said it is a wonderful first step, but many challenges remain, specifically mentioned that the transition government cannot yet defend itself, the econony is a shambles, etc.

I disagree with people who have said the media is going bananas today, presenting only a rosy Bush & Co. point of view. I've heard many words of caution.

Plus, it was truly amazing that so many Iraqis came out to vote. That took some major guts.

4. Wow, that's quite an accusation

I've seen articles reporting on his ties to a company that makes election machines. Never anything that comes even close to alleging what you just said.

This guy will not get the party's nomination in 2008. He's just too honest and not nearly neo-con enough for them. He'd get "McCained" in the primaries.
