And the Corporateland grows ever bigger
http://news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/afp/20050130/ts_afp/usindustrytakeover

"Brand names like France's Bic are being mentioned as well. It is a family-controlled company, but, according to Wyss, "everything can be bought at the right price.""

Including "democracy" and "freedom".

"Chinese companies, according to Peterson, would like to buy oil company ConocoPhillips for more than 16 billion dollars."

I'm pondering whether or not our new, wonderful, never lying Sec of State will cozy up to the bringers of a new brand of capitalism.

Don't worry about these business deals. Thanks to our TV media, it's only focused on Iraq's new democracy. Sure, they won't be able to grow their own food in Iraq(and who knows what else we've written into law), but they get to dance in the streets. Soon they will fill their word holes with cheap crap, and they'll be too fat to question authority.
