10. I think that she
has already had a fantastic influence. She is someone we can all relate to: she is our sister, our cousin, our neighbor, the person we went to school with. We all admired her dedication to parenting, from the time her son was little. The pain that is now on her face makes us uncomfortable, but not to where we want to turn away.

She represents everything terrible about Bush's aggression in Iraq on this, our homefront. And the president lacks the moral capacity or the guts to meet with her. He doesn't dare.

12. Do you think she represents the beginning of the end to this regime ?
What I mean, is the end of his legitimacy in the public's eyes ? I know there will always be nutcases :-)

13. I think that
she represents the repressed images of flag-draped coffins and military funerals that this administration does not want the public exposed to. I think that she will bring to a conscious level many of the emotions that a large segment of the population has not dealt with. In that sense, she represents a therapy of sorts for the public.

I would think that we should not underestimate what she represents. It will be interesting to see how this great energy force is channeled. The media will manipulate, of course, but of more interest will be the reaction of the anti-war forces. I would hesitate to encourage people to try to translate the symbolism. Let her be the message.

9. I put three
responses on your other thread about it. Interesting issue. My opinion is on 16-18 on the other thread; I could be wrong.

11. I checked the other post and read your
responses.
With the apparent full authority to go where the investigation leads, it would be difficult for anyone to say he went outside his authority so I would say he's safe on that note.
According to that "spook", Fitz doesn't have to report to anyone, therefore they can't use his investigation to hide stuff from further disclosure.
I think if Comey went 8 yards on this appointment, he probably went the full field and protected Fitzgerald from interference as much as he possible could. Comey was well aware of past administration's behavior and it looks like he planned to prevent cover-ups.
