Heads up: "Able Danger" is a Big Story Today
Over 400 stories in 8/10 papers... with Weldon in charge, I have a feeling they'll be blaming Clinton for 9/11 s'more.

snip: The recommendation to bring down that New York City cell -- in which two other Al Qaeda terrorists were also active -- was not pursued during the weeks leading up to the 2000 presidential election, said Weldon. That¢s because Mohammed Atta possessed a ?green card? at the time and Defense Department lawyers did not want to recommend that the FBI go after someone holding a green card, Weldon told his House colleagues last June 27 during a little-noticed speech, known as a ?special order,? which he delivered on the House floor.

1. Well we now need to see...
the other warnings that the Clinton team, such as Clarke, gave the * team, in early 2001.

2. I read "Against all enemies"
and Clarke went on at lenght about the warnings he gave Condi and Bush and the delay's on the priciple's meeting. If Rove has a plan to spin this as a see it was Clinton's , it will so blow up in Bush's face

3. Can't necessarily blame it on Clinton just yet...
Secretary of Defense Rumsfeld claims he didn't know about it, but it's his department that had the info. Wasn't he paying attention to briefings?

Congressman: Defense Knew 9/11 Hijackers - The Guardian has a different take than the U.S. papers.
