MIXED REVIEWS FOR DEAD WRONG...
...But really folks, did you expect CNN to mount a full on attack against the White House? -did you expect them to extol every over the top tinfoil cap conspiracy theory about the origins of the war -and fit it all into one hour no less!!!!

Granted, they could have come at Bush harder, but I think if they came too hard, they would of set themselves up to look like Leftist attack dogs instead of journalists and given conservatives an excuse not to accept the unpleasant facts.

We gotta work with what we got, folks. This piece could change a lot of minds, even if it isn't exactly what we all wanted. LETS E-MAIL CNN RIGHT NOW WITH PRAISE AND DEMANDS FOR MORE RERUNS OF THIS SHOW. If there is enough hubub about it, the other news channels may feel the need to compete an make their own scathing investigative specials (wouldn't it be funny to see the FOX version? haha) -and who's gonna say a bunch of specials about the BS leading up to the war is a bad thing?

1. I thought the piece was a very good summary
Not bad really - I'll ask them to run it again.

3. I wonder...

If a transcript becomes available, will all the places where they voiced over a person talking be in the transcript? Are there any good hidden quotes to be had there? We may have to mine the video for them.

FWIW.

4. It was the beginning of the setup to begin the BIG BLAME

against the intelligence spinners. G. Tenant played along with the Administration during the runup, figuring he had coverfrom them for afterward, but now, as so many immature romances find, things have changed.

ON EDIT___ By the way, this post was made before I read any of the other posts aywhere in these forums. I come by my evaluation honestly.

Tenant is the next goat that Rove will smear, and until that one wears thin, Rove will be looking for another stall, another shill, another war, and higher stakes.

We are so fucked until Congress finally decides it is time to do their job of oversight. Not bloody soon, if you ask me.

5. I thought it was good actually, but it failed on a few basics...
Writing about it now. All in all, I would say that is there best attempt at news for a long time. I was pleased in general, but disappointed with some of it.

7. I
Think CNN made a business decision here,We(INTERNET) got them on the tight rope, they know the story is gaining in the publics eye so they put this out there because they are not sure if * is going to go down so they are playing the middle. Now, no matter what the future holds they can come out ahead. They can fall on either side of the rope, and they are safe.

My 2 cents

8. That's how I saw it, too.
There was an awful lot of Tenet in the program, but it was pretty clear that it was the White House making the decisions, setting everything up and shifting blame.

9. I'm Hoping Tenet Watched This - Gets Pissed For Shouldering....
most of the blame and then - tells all. I'm waiting for Powell to spill the beans as well. This "Dead Wrong" could precipitate the truth from both Tenet and Powell.

10. I didn't expect the full truth, but regardless...
I don't feel they should be lauded for doing anything less.

That's part of why I watched it. Reward them for breaking the story. Now when it's time to critique, I say they didn't go far enough.

Very consistent. The carrot (it got my attention and I watched it) and the stick (bashing them for soft-pedaling and whitewashing). Very simple.
