She just used the term "anti-war extremists" in regard to Camp Casey.

And now she is allowing the pro war Mark Williams to railroad Collen Rowley.

I cannot be any angrier than I am right now.

96. Did you ever actually read the rules...
as has been suggested in this thread? Because the term "media whore" is specifically mentioned as allowed in the rule regarding gender (and other) slurs I believe.

to actually BE called every name in the book. Go back and read some of the threads where we've tried to seriously discuss gender and language on DU. I've been called repressed, puritanical, hysterical, over-emotional, silly, "on the rag", distracting from more important issues...hell you pick a stereotype about women and it's been hurled at me or other women on this board because we stand up and say no.

won't change the fact that I've been called all those at one time or another. Wish I could give you links, but most of the really bad stuff got deleted (and not by my request...when people are vile I like for it to stay up so everyone can see).

there have always been men who sold their bodies for sex...even if not as many as there were women who did it.

Granted, I personally am uncomfortable with calling anyone, especially a woman, a whore because it has often been used as a means of putting women in their place...but I understand why the exception was made for the more gender neutral "media whore".

the power off switch so hard I almost broke my thumb, and my poor dog is still cowering under the bed, even after coaxing! She thinks I'm mad at her. (She didn't stay there that long!)

Anti-war extremists! Does she bother to look at the polls? 60% plus support Cindy, and are opposed to the war. Does that make the majority of the US extremists? Only in this administration, and under Hitler.

84. I really used to repect her, but this episode of HB was so utterly
and blatantly biased, I could cry.

The polls say over 60 percent of america dissaproves of this war. But we're still an extremist group, a focus group. This proves to me that NBC is towing the part line. Watch, come next election in 06, every poll, exit or otherwise, is going to be dismissed as inaccurate. I expect it.
