McNabb Nixes Apology From Limbaugh....
http://www.philly.com/mld/philly/6906825.htm

It’s too late for that. “He said what he said. ... I’m sure he’s not the only one that feels that way but it’s somewhat shocking to actually hear that on national TV,” the Philadelphia Eagles’ quarterback said of Limbaugh at a news conference Wednesday. “An apology would do no good because he obviously thought about it before he said it.”

Good for you, Donovan...

4. I think this is typical of someone with a racist philosophy.
Limbaugh just doesn't think he did anything wrong and therefore, he has nothing to apologize for. He doesn't appear to have the ability to comprehend why what he said could be viewed as racist.

I seriously doubt that he will apologize for it unless the heat becomes unbearable. Then, he'll issue a non-apology apology, just like right-wingers usually do in these situations.

7. His apology would be something like:
"I'm sorry you were offended."

:grr:

It is what is in your heart, I don't care if Limpballz lived in a trashcan, he would still be a bigot.

9. God, what a good day for the Left it has been!
Joe Sixpack now knows that Rush hates black people, and Scotty is getting REAMED by the WHPC.

I'm so happy I can't see straight.

his comments, just to make sure that all his dittoheads are there to pray for him.

11. My Suggestion to McNabb & the NFL If They Want to Make a Difference
(reposting from a locked thread in LBN)

What Rush did is 8 times worse than Jimmy the Greek's comments that got him fired way back when.

Jimmy, speaking in ignorance, said something he believed just might be true, not intending to spark controversy.

Rush, speaking in flatulence, said something he knows damn well isn't true for the sole purpose of sparking controversy + ratings.

CBS had the dignity to remove a popular broadcaster from the air for inappropriate comments, almost immediately.

ESPN clings to their boy hoping for controversy-generated ratings.

ESPN's cynicism should be rejected with a full-on boycott. Boycotted by TV viewers, and boycotted by players and other NFL professionals, who should flat out refuse to be interviewed by any ESPN broadcaster or employee for a pre-determined length of time. Forget about demanded Rush's ouster (the NFL, that is), just don't fucking talk to ESPN, give them no stories to report first-hand and see what that does for their ratings.

Football is the most integrated sport in the US. Why Rush has a problem with that is beyond my understanding. You don't get as far in broadcasting as he has by being a fucktard who can't work with people of all colors and mentalities.

14. ESPN loves Rush - best ratings since 96 - up 10% for mon, 26% in 18-45 age

ESPN loves Rush - best ratings since 96 - up 10% for month, 26% in 18-45 age group

Rush has delivered the red neck fans to ESPN

Corporate America is bringing back racists because it pays, and with the GOP in charge, there is no political downside.

In Florida Tampa Bay pre-game discusses how white boys are only competent, while blacks are super athletes - in that liberal sports page at the Tampa Trib.

Bush is a uniter - and our US Media is doing God's work protecting him and the GOP.

15. Unbelieveable!!!
"He said today that Limbaugh’s comments about his race were out of bounds and added that someone on the show should have taken him on. Among the other panelists are former players Michael Irvin and Tom Jackson, both of whom are black.
“I’m not pointing at anyone but someone should have said it,” McNabb said of the panelists, who also include Chris Berman and Steve Young. “I wouldn’t have cared if it was the cameraman.”
------------------

McNabb is absolutely right. Unbelieveable that no one had the courage to speak out at the time.

IMO, there isn't any consequence (losing a job, getting chewed out, bringing on the wrath of Rush, or whatever) that could be as bad as knowing that you stood silent when you could have made a difference.

17. Before today, I was very nonchalant about this..
I thought Rush would skate on it, they way these creeps usually do. Now that Pigboy is getting national media attention for his irrepressible racism, I'm actually getting a good feeling he might get shitcanned.

Keeping my fingers crossed.

18. So, when does the player boycott of Rush and ESPN begin?
I think the quickest way to ensure Rush's departure would be if the players simply stopped granting ESPN interviews. If the players make it clear that they will not participate while Rush is employed by ESPN, I bet he gets asked to depart - requesting that HE never return.

Wouldn't you like to see the internal workings of that show now? Off camera, I mean...I've only watched a little bit, but I've seen Tom Jackson want to go off on Rush a couple of times.

20. I hope every black player interviewed by Fox calls Rush an asshole.
Or refuses to be interviewed by them.

Or maybe I should say 'Every player who is outraged by it' not just every black player.

ESPN needs to be reminded in every interview by the athletes that Limbaugh is a racist asshole.
