Opinion
Redeemers of the Lost Blood
By Teresa Simón-Noble
Online Journal Contributing Writer

August 28, 2005—In his August 23 speech, George W. Bush offered up new human blood to redeem the blood of those who have already spilled theirs in the Iraqi streets, highways, byways and sands.

Meanwhile, in the crowd in Crawford, Texas, a supporter of Bush, a mom, believes in good faith that if blood loss, and blood redeemed, takes place now, her 2-year-old son will not have to offer up his own blood to defend and protect this country from the alleged "evil terrorist killers who hate our freedoms" and might come to harm us because we are taking their lands, their oil and their customs for our own narcissistic president's greed for oil.

She is a mom who buys, in blind faith and out of fear, Bush's twisted logic and his argument in support of his occupation of foreign lands.
Out of fear and out of the need to protect her own child from spilling his blood years down the road, she offers up the blood of other moms' children to fight today in Bush's mythological war for the Redemption of Evil.

Evil conquered through the Redemption of Blood.

Yet, to Christians everywhere, only one Blood has been offered for the Redemption of Good against Evil.

Only Evil distorts truth and deceives the innocent.
