I am thankful for: My life The fact that I am very healthy and happy with no debilitating diseases injuries mental conditions etc. My beautiful son; who is also in perfect health. My loving and devoted husband who works so hard to make me happy and allows me to stay at home with my beautiful son.(by paying the bills for now) My loving intelligent parents (now gone) who brought themselves up from abject poverty in this state and were the first in their families to go to college. Who worked their whole lives to give me the good life I have now, whose money from that hard work has made me financially independent. Whose caring loving liberal values they instilled in me, along with no fear of hard work. No car payments No house payments NO CREDIT CARDS A decent sense of humor A good case of naivete. A fairly high IQ. A loving extended family The capacity to understand those who have lost loved ones to death through the same in my life (happens to all of us!) A VERY small group (1/2) of good friends. A willingness to learn and to ADMIT WHEN I"M WRONG. (sometimes that is work) 4 loving crazy kitties. And yours?? I thought we need to remember and celebrate what we *DO* have when confronted by this kind of life-altering catastrophe. For godesses' sake don't think I'm boasting. Writing it down helps me remember.
