1. I'm sure Willie Nelson will be all over that ...
... but I don't expect Kid Rock or Toby Keith to step up.

4. Well, don't expect the Oil Co. CEOs to hold a bake sale
They're too busy counting their loot. So once again, we look to our generous entertainment community to raise the millions that our nation's wealthy SHOULD be contributing.

Plus, this would be a good time for country and rock (and blues, jazz, cajun, etc.) to come together and symbolically unite the country. We need to get over this red/blue BS and musicians can lead the way. Hope some musicians/organizers are monitoring this.

New Orleans is pretty much where it all began for American music.

The Neville Brothers
The Meters
The New Orleans Radiators
Wynton, Branford, Ellis, Delfeayo and possibly Jason Marsalis (Jason is the one who has autism; he plays drums)
Terence Blanchard
Master P
Irma Thomas
Marva Wright
The Dirty Dozen

and the grand marshals of the event, not because they're the most talented, but just because of the name:

The Re-Birth Brass Band
