First ESPN next Armed Forces Radio ~ Let's get Rush Sacked
Write you congressman and Senator. How can we allow a drug pusher/user to broadcast to our troops. Not to mention Racist. Get him off Armed Forces radio. He has no opposing view there and it's all brain washing our young men and women. Get him off armed Forces radio. The Military doesn't need to be Politicised. Go for the Throat.

4. He never should have been on in the first place
I remember when he got on -- the dittoheads argued that DoD was practicing "censorship" and infringing on their first amendment rights by not broadcasting him. Armed Forces Radio's response was that there simply was no demand within the armed forces for his show, that is, nobody within the armed forces asked that his show be broadcast. Rush's minions forced themselves onto the network.

Think about how it would have looked if they said no. This happened during the Clinton administration, and keeping him off AFR (even though nobody wanted him) would have been spun as "Clinton censors Rush!" (in fact that's how it was being spun, pre-emptively).

Sad, because I presume that a lot of young soldiers listen to AFR and risk getting brainwashed by this guy.

I have no problem with advocating that his hypocritical (and illegal) activities are inappropriate for Armed Forces Radio.

6. I emailed Armed Forces Radio. about Rush.....I received a reply
Rush won't be going anywhere unless the Reps and Senators do it. Mr. Mark Smith actually calls Limbaugh's show NEWS!!!!! ACK!

******........we appreciate your concern. Thanks for taking the time to
express it.

But, would you have us edit news coverage? Should we delete the
monologues of the late night talk shows comedians who occasionally throw
barbs at the Commander in Chief? Do you want us to also remove any
politically-incorrect dialog in the sitcoms we air to conform to an
agenda?

I don't believe that's what you want.

The fact is, we do not censor. We provide you a touch of home by offering
a variety and letting the viewer decides his/her favorite news source ,
via AFN radio and TV, that reflects America. We leave the control to our
viewers in the form of the on/off button on their set.

Additionally, AFRTS reflects America. American audiences make Rush
popular. We would be remiss to carry less popular programs. Popularity
ensures our audience will listen or watch and receive the mission-required
internal information we provide.

We carry his program because it's very popular and our audience asked for
it. We provide it in one of the 13 radio channels we broadcast 24/7.
Overseas AFN affiliates develop their local schedules by selecting shows
and music from these 13 channels and adding their own live drive time
programs.

Thanks for your understanding and interest in AFRTS.

Sincerely,

Mark D. Smith

7. Over an entertainer? Grow up. Pay attention to the thugs in the white
house. these people are playing you for fools so that you don't pay attention to the crimes of the thugs in the white house.

limbaugh is a fat asshole entertainer. if you don't like him, don't listen to him.

MOST people agree with limbaugh, so who cares? They're all wrong... and at the end of the day, he ain't aristotle, he's an ENTERTAINER.

8. I'm sorry but I find the politicalization of the military quite disturbing
If there was some balance I might agree but when you have a propagandist of Limbaugh's caliber on every day for three hours a day brainwashing our young men and women in uniform I find it more than entertainment. I guess his brainwashing has been quite effective on you as well as "MOST people agree with limbaugh," I find that statement to be quite telling of you. Most people don't even know who Limbaugh is.

10. A very DANGEROUS entertainer
I'd say. He has been spewing his hateful rhetoric for too many years and it's about time he gets it back. I am focused on the "espionage" issue. Rush will be an old story tomorrow but, for now, he needs the crap he's been dishing out, dished right back at him. I have also written to CNN, my Senators and participated in a moveon.org campaign petition and a Truemajority.com campaign against the WH...TRUST ME! I am focused! Rush is today's news and I will relish in getting his ass fired.
