Freepers going apeshit over a Enquirer article about Rush's supposed "drug dealing."

They don't talk about him allegedly buying prohibited drugs. They talk about his "medical need" but not about the fact that it's a crime to buy narcotics on the street. It's a crime, stupid! (but it shouldn't be)

I don't see the big deal. Ozzy Osbourne did drugs and he got to have a show. Bush is trying to get free prescription drugs for all the seniors --- at least it sounds like Rush was paying for his own. An awful lot of people are pill poppers.

If this has been going on for 4 years, the wife knows about it at the very least.

If some regular Joe is caught buying illegal drugs, why condemn them? People are not perfect.

If you make a career out of marginalizing those with no voice; the poor, minorities, etc., if you suggest again and again that people without money are morally flawed, that power is purity, and all the other corporatist garbage that Rush Limbaugh spews... well then your own corruption is not only newsworthy, it's hilarious.

I don't remember if there was any lingering confusion over this, but I just stumbled across Cigar Aficionado's piece on Rush, and it says that he in fact DID work under the name Jeff Christie.

Eh, doesn't really matter now, does it.

In Florida, it is illegal to record conversations surreptitiously unless authorized by law enforcement.

This maid must have been working with the local County Attorney in order to wear a wire, otherwise she was committing a crime.

The fact that she admitted to this recording on the advice of her high-power attorney who has defended big-name Democrats before suggests that the local County Attorney has been working on this for a while, and she probably has immunity.
