It turns out that devout Hillary fan Tom McMullen kicked off what amounted to a draft-Hillary movement in January when he formed a committee called "People for American Leadership."

As soon as that happened, it triggered a clause in the labyrinthine Code of Federal Regulations, and McMullen registered with the Feds by filling out FEC Form 1.

I find it hard to believe that Hillary will run in 2004. I just don't see it.

Could have been a contingency plan - it does seem like a 'legit' site, though.

After reading the Wired.com link it appears that this is a quirk of the electoral process and not an indication that Hillary is running for president in 2004. As such, it's not breaking news, so I'm going to move it to the GD forum.
