Generation Dean's Bill of Rights for a New Generation of Americans
I think this is great!

BILL OF RIGHTS for A NEW GENERATION OF AMERICANS

We the undersigned, in order to restore the ideals upon which America was founded, call upon our nation’s leaders to honor the following rights:

1. The right to be free from national debt

2. The right to be free from government surveillance and unwarranted suspicion of American citizens

3. The right to a government of, by and for the people, free from the influence of special interests

4. The right to a quality education

5. The right to patriotic dissent

6. The right to a government which deals honorably with other nations

7. The right to leadership which does not operate in secrecy

8. The right to know the truth about the commander-in-chief’s reasons for sending our troops in harm’s way

9. The right to a government which works for the benefit of all its citizens, and not only for those who have the most

10. The right to leadership which seeks to form a more perfect union -- and does not divide its people by race, by gender, by income or by sexual orientation

1. #5
is my favorite!

My 11 year old daughter has to an oral presentation at school; she is working with me on the Dean campaign locally and is going to do her report on her experiences, including meeting the Gov. last month.

She's going to use a lot of GenerationDean stuff, this will be a great centerpiece to explain what Dean stands for.

7. Well, at least he got #1 right
College students ought to be outraged over the fact that Bush is mortgaging THEIR future in order to give huge tax cuts to the wealthiest among their parent's generation. It's intergenerational theft, plain and simple.

5. The right to patriotic dissent

Oh yes sign me up. Wait, isn't that what you're doing by circulating this feel-good parallel Constitution?

10. I'm 24
I've ranted in GD at leat twice about the disparity of couring the youth vote vs the other demographics that the candidates seek out

This story is telling...Dean can mobilize the youth vote.

I think he can better than any other candidate running at the moment...we listen to Jello, we know DINOs and Dems are totally different factions, one of which is not worthy of support or reporting on...plus we're wired. I love it.
