when the new rules passed has made up a new name and spammed the board with a lot of hateful crap about democrats. Gutless, but true. I know this person is a regular poster because I actually went to and joined that forum months ago at his request.

I think the administrators should do a search on his url and get rid of all his sign-on names. Of course that is only my opinion.

4. Discussions With Libertarians Can Be Fun
As each one of them is never consistent in how much government they would support.

Some would dismantle everthing allowing only Defense and necessary Justice and Commerce functions.

Some will go farther and support public roads and water.

There is a real slippery slope problem in that political philosophy.

7. it's just nuts
They protest all the public services they use on a daily basis. Honestly , they should all move to Haiti, it is a libertarian heaven with no tax base to speak of. Let people move there and see how they like the lifestyle.

10. I have wanted to pose this idea to libertarians
Say we make taxes voluntary would you pay?
But if you did not pay you would not be able to use the roads and bridges. Would not be eligible for police and fire protection. You would have to pay for your children to go to private schools and get none of the benefits of government.
Then the government could charge you for this stuff and could price it so that they could make a profit and that would reduce the taxes that we pay.
Would there be any takers?

11. good idea Zeemike
I understand some of the concerns of the Libertarians. I tend to score closer to libertarian than authoritarian on the political quizes. But the ideas I beleive in all rest perfectly comfortably within my party. I also have no problem paying taxes.
