Except for California. :) We can laugh our asses off for the next 4 years or until the next recall election is called. "Leadership" is what they want, they say. Oh, this is going to be fun. (rubbing hands together in glee)

(this is tongue in cheek)

1. A recall ahnold effort would begin immediately
I don't know where I've read that (here probably) but I believe that plans are already in place to recall the moron should the recall succeed and he win. So I don't think it'll be 4 years, maybe 6 months?

hey, as governor, ahnold wouldn't have the power to prevent another recall, would he?

10. I know I read that on DU! A "recall" is already in place to happen
if the worst happens and arnie gets elected by a non-majority.

11. Recall Effort
The problem is registering enough signatures to start another recall. I doubt if the public will want to go through another round so soon. Who would we run anyway? Puke Davis? No campaign traitorous Bustamante?

It will be best to see Arnold fail and win the next election rather than spend scarce resourses to recall him right away.

13. Too bad the freepers and Repubs didn't feel the same way about Davis
"It will be best to see Arnold fail and win the next election rather than spend scarce resourses to recall him right away."

(Substitute the name Gray Davis for Arnold in above sentence)

2. I live in CA and will tell you that it wont be fun here.
These moron, Ah-Nold voters will either be swallowing a bitter pill or will be in seriuos denial when he screws this state up more than it allready is.

Where is he planning on getting the $$$ to balance the budget?

I can tell you right now that education and much-needed social programs will take serious cuts.

He's just spouting this shit off and people are buying it!

It will not be fun at all!

6. You are right Maveric...
Arnold has shown nothing that would indicate he would do anything about the deficit - except make it worse. They cross their fingers and hope the economy gets better...otherwise they will have to blame it on Gray Davis...That will be Arnold's record.

3. I think Al franken would probably agree.
LoL. "PLEASE PLEASE RECALL DAVIS!!!!" I dont see how actor arnold is going to clean up california. It will be a miserable failure by the republican party and they will feel the wrath. Its amazingly comparable to the Presidency and the state of the Union which is not good. Eh... thats something to think about.

4. You sound like me...
I'm of a similar opinion. I know it's awful, but some sick part of me looks forward to watching Schwarzenegger fail.

Conan O'Brien said that he wanted Schwarzenegger to win because it would be good for his profession. I couldn't agree more. Governor Schwarzenegger can give the late night talk shows hosts literally hours of material. Darrell Hammond is fine-tuning his Arnold impersonation, and you can almost hear the writers at The Onion sharpening their pens.

It should be an interesting couple of years... err... couple of months. I doubt Schwarzy will make it until January 2007.
