Is CNN Campaigning for Arnold ?
(the non-rule breaking version)

I thought the thread deserved to be here - so here's the non-rule breaking version. Please post any info, anyone watching CNN on what they are doing right now? Are they still smearing Davis? What is their angle?

I always though CNN wasn't great, but wasn't blantantly conservative.. but I don't have cable TV so don't jump down my throat if that's terribly wrong.

1. It's Woodruff...

She loves Arnie.

CNN as a whole is only moderately whorish, though whorish nevertheless.

5. What a sad commentary when "moderately whorish"
is the best Corporate TV Pravda has to offer.

Even PBS is now "moderately whorish" (thanks, Newt).

2. They are not showing anything positive concerning Davis or Bustamante
And after an anti-Davis/Bustamante articles they air some video-op of Arnold waving to a rabid crowd of supporters, followed by pro-Arnold women who are basically saying that the groping incidents are nothing and should not be taken seriously. Then to random on the street polls, almost all of those shown are pro-Arnold. AARRGGHH!!!

Its bad enough that hte local San Diego newsreaders are having a Shwartzenegger pump up lovefest followed by Davis slamming. Now the national media is pretty much proclaiming him governor!

BTW, thanks for bringing this topic back to life after my posting violations.

7. Turner Broadcasting System Inc.
Not the same thing. Ted sold CNN To T/W years ago, and has regretted it ever since (so have I).

6. Funny moment
Edited on Mon Oct-06-03 03:08 PM by priller
Judy Woodruff with an obviously perplexed and frustrated look on her face when interviewing Arianna Huffington about all the gropees coming out of the woodwork. And she pointed out, in all seriousness, "Swartzenegger said that he's willing to go into details on these accusations after he gets into office."

Arianna just smiled, probably thinking to herself "you stupid whore", then calmly answered that Arnie takes that tack on almost every issue -- I'll tell you the details once I'm elected. She said that was very contemptuous of voters and that California deserves to hear NOW what his plans are, and how he answers the accusations.

I just couldn't believe how Judy, or ANYONE, could possibly think Arnie's answer was worthy of anything but scorn.

11. CNN isn't that bad
They gave a arnold whore a segment to glow over Arnold. They gave Arianna a segment to slam Arnold, and now they are going to have McClintok come on.

What they do need is someone supporting Davis and Bustamante come on but I don't expect that.

Judy is the real problem as she is drooling all things Arnold. She needs to get a bucket and get off camera for once.

14. Ah Faux news ...

But to give CNN a break, they do keep reporting the groping incidents.

Ah, McClintock says Arnie should come forward and address the charges. Thanks for staying in the race.

13. CNN is a vague term...
Better to say Time-Warner, their stockholders, Board of Directors as well as their corporate sponsors. They set the standards of partisanship and cooperation with the right wing cabal.

Judy Woodruff is a pawn of Time-Warner who most likely is personally sympathetic to the corporate partisanship.
