What happens if Davis wins the recall?
Will repugs take the matter to the high courts, demand a recount, question the validity of the voting machines?

Could they initiate another recall if this one fails?

I dont think that they will go down quietly.

1. I don't think we'll know
who won for a couple of weeks. There are a couple million absentee votes to be counted.

5. The absentee votes are supposed to be counted by tomorrow...
I think the CA SoS website says they will be included in the first numbers online tomorrow at 8:45PM

2. They'll move on...

to rioting, assassinations, and coup d'etat. There is far too much at stake for them to allow a small thing like law, justice, and democracy to interfere.

This holds true for the presidential elections as well.

Demand a recount?

Question the validity of the voting machines?

Could they initiate another recall if this one fails?

Damn right they can, and will.

6. Careful...
We're the ones doing most of that right now. In fact, all four have already been done or planned for right after the election. We've already raised funds for the legal effort.

12. I don't think so.
Maybe they're afraid of what a vote-fraud investigation would look like, but the close (recountable) elections that have gone our way lately have not been challenged.

4. Issa Will be Busy
If Governor Davis listens to me.

Dan Issa should be made to sit at the busiest intersection in L.A. and shred paper ballots one at a time until he is done. That's just a good beginning for all the trouble and money that rich little shit has cost the people of California.

7. If the vote is close it will be recounted and challenged ad infinitum
And I mean that no matter which side wins.

8. They won't go down quietly
But if they fight the descision made by the recall, then it will only hurt them in the short and long run. If Davis stays in despite the recall it will make the state GOP look rather stupid that they tried, and if they contest the vote then it WILL rather blatantly expose what their objective was the whole time to the public in a way that cannot be denied.
