Someone in the Dean campaign is not a football fan
I don't have a link for this, but I read in today's Phila. Daily News (in an article about the Limbaugh-McNabb controversy) that the Dean campaign released a statement taking Rush to task for his comments about Philadelphia "Jets" quarterback Donovan McNabb.
As an Eagles fan, I got a chuckle out of this. :)

1. Is that worse than Kerry 'daintily' munching on a cheese steak?
What's next, Clark vowing to fix the crack in the Liberty Bell if elected?

11. No, it's not worse
I got a kick out of the Kerry story, too. I was just posting this in fun - something lighthearted for a change!

lol
Has to be a female staffer. That's pretty funny, but an understandable mistake. Political people should know politics, not football. Rush could learn from that.

5. Hey now.
I'm a woman and a football fan. It doesn't have to be a female staffer.

8. It most certainly doesn't have to be a female staffer.

My wife's a bigger football fan than I am!

Sexist alert! Hehe. Just kidding.

Wow, are you gonna get flamed.

2. Heheh, Dean...
...should take some time to go to an Eagles game now. Just take out this talking point from the rightwingers.

Later.

3. That's funny
Maybe Dean is a New York Jets fan who wishes they had McNabb.

4. Just like someone in the WH isn't an Aussie fan ...
In their press briefing refered to their PM as "John Major", instead of John Quisling Popinjay Howard

9. Gaffe
It isn't good to rush and make mistakes like that. It won't hurt him in the long run, but it did make it seem like he was just jumping on a bandwagon and really didn't know the details of the situation.

12. Clark also called on Rush to be fired
I don't have a problem with our candidates weighing in on this.

13. I'm a huge football fan, I get them mixed up a lot.
They're both from the same area of the country and they both wear green.

Now I would never say Philadelphia Jets or New York Eagles. That is just sad. When the Redskins played the Eagles yesterday, I thought that they had already played them, but they had played the jets. When someone said that McNabb didn't have a star receiver to throw to, I was wondering why the Eagles let Lavernius Coles go after last season, but it was the Jets who let him go. I get those two teams mixed up all of the time like that.

I also get the St. Louis Ram and the Pheonix Cardinals mixed up for obvious reasons.
