I've watched it twice now. Scott Ritter makes me very happy....almost warm and fuzzy when he calls bush a liar 10 times during the first 5 minutes into the show.

Scott is brilliant. He quoted a few lines of PNAC off by heart when asked by the interviewer why bush went to war. He knows his stuff. Also, regarding David Kaye, Ritter said none of what Kaye reported would stand up in court. It's all spin and conjecture by a right wing idealogue - - someone who could not be trusted to tell the truth.

A word about the format: The interviewer (Tim Sebastian) was extremely confrontational. Scott was obviously amused by the seeming animosity toward him and always had great comebacks - not once did he falter.

Hopefully the web site will have the video soon. All DU'ers will find great pleasure in listening to this.

Check here for the video tomorrow:

3. Tim Sebastian is ALWAYS confrontational!!
That's why I love HardTalk so much - he's like Jeremy Paxman on speed.

4. Sebastian wasn't the interviewer...
but Ritter kicked butt nonetheless. Very clear in pointing out how vague David Kay's statements really were.

2. Hi, Mokito! Please put more info in title.
You might want to say something like:

"Scott Ritter on BBC World" now (Oct. 5 @ 1:30 CET)

That way DUers who skim just the titles know what's in the threads.

Thanks for the heads-up, compay!
