Millions of Absentee Ballots Filed in CA in Weeks Before E. Day--Results?

If millions of absentee ballots were filed in California before election day, and Bustamante started to slide only in the past week or two, couldn't that mean that people who filed their ballots were voting like poll numbers said at that time?

not only on what the public sentiment was at the time, but also on who's organization orchestrated that particular absentee ballot campaign.

Remember Seminole County in the 2000 election. The Supervisor of elections gave the Republican Party access to the rolls so that apps for absentee ballots could be sent out with partisan lit. That could have happened here but we just don't know.

3. Hard to know yet

Some of my pals were advocating using absentee ballots
this time around because of the electronic voting problems
so we may see Dems and traditionally Republican ballots
in that mix.

People who voted at that time may not have changed
their votes anyway...except the ones who voted for
Arianna and their vote on the second half is worthless
now....

I'm voting today. I like going to the polls on the day of
an election.

4. absentee ballets are excellent - some voters need help

and it is pretty normal in the Detroit area for campaigns to "assist" such voters by helping them "correctly" fill out those darn little boxes. Works for both parties. Could be done at a single RW "revival" or (never) at a union meeting.

No on recall, yes on Bustamante, as did my mom and hubby.

I cannot imagine those Bimbos and Lunkheads for the Robot even THOUGHT about voting absentee. Absentee voters have been engaged longer in the political process. IMHO

6. Cruz was ahead of Arnold until 2 weeks ago and the Yes vote...

...peaked only last week (wasn't it at about 54% two weeks ago?).

So, only absentee ballots sent in a week or so ago would be a serious problem. All the rest are a wash.

Anyway, usually only the extremely motivated send in absentee ballots, so it's not like very many of them would have voted much differently if they had waited.
