Should the recall pass, how long until next Gov Election?
I've heard that in the case that Davis does not serve out his term, for whatever reason, California would hold election for govenor during the next cycle - next November.

Does anyone have any information on this?

3. Actually
CA law requires a 6-month interval, before Ahhhhnold can be recalled.

What is the provision of CA law that provides for the recall? When was it enacted?

7. Wrong - it's only 6 months if Davis survives

Every article I've seen says Arnold can be recalled right away.

In fact, the media and right wing millionaires started planning the Davis recall a few days after he was legally elected.

8. The money and energy for a recall
would be better put toward Barbara Boxer's re-election, since she is their next target. Let Arnie hang on for 3 years, let the voters see what a dunce they put in...that could be the best thing in the long run.

4. I understand about the recall
but, what's the point if Arnie's up for re-election (sic) next November?

Gather and counting signatures may take months (unless there a deep-pocket Issa).

5. Next November?
I thought he would serve out the remainder of Davis' term. So that means he would be up for re-election in 3 years.

9. That's my question...
Isn't the situatuion the same as if Davis had resigned or died in office?

I'm hoping and have heard that his replacement would only hold office until the next general election.

Just trying to get confirmation...
