Anyone here feel like they're watching a preview of 2004?

Our candidate leads all the way until the last month. An odd poll shows Bush surging ahead. Later polls show a close race then WHAM It's a landslide for Bush.

Just add California to the list of states that elected protest governors. If he doesn't crash and burn in scandal, he'll go down in flames along with Erlich in Maryland.

If it is a preview of 2004, great. If Davis had the taint of Enron on him (and yes, I know it's a joke to elect Frisky-Hands because of that), Bush is going down hard.

They didn't steal an election only to let
the voters remove them four years later.
Bush Inc and Diebold are here to stay.
That's not to say we shouldn't fight every
step of the way; there's no choice but to fight.
But they got voting fraud, and the media cheerleaders,
sewn up.

...instead of firing in a circle, I don't know what will. The 2004 election is ours to lose. The GOP ran on a celebrity platform with no substance. It's so sad.

incumbents are in trouble. Including Bush. If California voters will recall Davis over his deficits and the economy of the state then the nation I think will defeat Bush on his record on the economy, job losses, deficits, driving up poverty rates, lack of health insurance, and Iraq.

I don't see this as an anti-democratic vote at all, but an anti-incumbent vote.

6. Okay, if this makes you feel any better,

(and I must admit, I'll take hope from any source right about now) Bill Schneider of CNN said earlier that this is not a real rejection of Davis as much as being disgusted and wanting someone totally new. Then Bill said that this DOESn'T BODE WELL FOR pRESIDENT BUSH. So, keep your collective chin up, and we may prevail. Because if we don't, I'll just be in the kitchen, hacking my own head off with a chef's knife.

8. Arnold's popularity will start to wane immediately

Voters are going to expect Arnold to work a miracle starting at 8AM tomorrow. He's not going to deliver.....from everything I've read and heard about California's financial crisis it's very, very bad.

I don't think Arnold, the outsider - the actor - the inexperienced, will be able to meet the high expectations. He's basically just been set up for failure.
