11. Quit redefining my post.
Edited on Tue Oct-07-03 11:10 PM by BevHarris
It says "let the lawsuits begin."

The remedy of the lawsuits is not on the discussion table just yet -- your tossing up a straw man ("won't overturn the election") and then shooting it down just demonstrates that you have an agenda.

I said, "Let the lawsuits begin."

That's all I said.

15. Who says it will be MY lawsuit?
And who gives a shit about what people want to characterize it as. They said Gore was a sore loser too, but he should have fought harder. He could have won that one, if he didn't have a mole as an advisor. He had an easy path to a win had he chosen the right course of action instead of listening to Grima Wormtongue.

Frankly, you make a lot of assumptions.

20. Too true. & Cruz just said that they're going to have a lot more to say on
the recall.

It sounded like they were going to start litigating.

I say good.

Gore should have fought harder, and should have used the law.

And I don't think this recall is at all constitutional.

22. I agree Gore
should have fought harder. I'm afraid that the fighters in this party are hindered by the chickens and cowards. There has got to be immediate changes made or good bye party. I listened to former Gov Ann Richards of Texas on C- span, said she left the state of Texas with 2 billion surplus and if she had known she was going to loose she would have spent every dime of it.I know that this is off subject but I say if you're going down why not fight on your way.

19. Newsguy ATL -- thank you.
This is about what's right. There are many possible causes of action, many possible plaintiffs, many possible remedies.

Each one that brings us closer to getting accountability back into our voting system is worth doing, and who cares what the wormtongue crowd wants to whisper in our ears.

Do what's right, people. Some are. Like Kucinich. Like Dean. And there are more.

41. I have listened to your crap long enough.
With all due respect, disregarding my real feelings in the header, you've filled way too many threads with nothing but loosing phylosophies (spelled "crap"). Look, I also don't subscribe to some of the a-little-too-left stuff here, but I DO subscribe to Dem victories. IMHO, you're not understanding what kind of voter we have to go after. They're not here, and they're not on FR. More than likely, they're spending about 1/1000 of the time we spend thinking about issues. It's a sheep thing. No disrespect, but it's way easier to rah-rah with the flock than to make a stand. We have to change the reason for rah-ing. It used to be worker's rights, public schooling, a better life for my offspring. It's now, how big(and flat) my TV is, Hummers, and dude, look at my debt. I've digressed, but making this look like a Repuke power grab is most important. And how would YOU do that?

10. I am realistic, Bev
I've followed your threads for weeks on end here. And you haven't shown anything to me that makes me think you are right.

You raise legitimate concerns, I will concede that. But you annd your supporters seem to scream "election fraud" all the time.

Do you think the no votes on Prop 53 and Prop 54 were stolen too? Or were those "fair elections" because they supported your position?

What you are doing is basically acting like the "Boy Who Cried Wolf". So when real fraud happens, in an actual close election, people will shrug their shoulders.

Again the odds of a lawsuit overturning the election of Arnold are nil. You would have to have the equivalent of Jesus's second coming to prove this.

And I don't think you do.

29. Bev - Question re your book.
I ordered your book from Amazon and they sent an email saying it was not available. Normally they keep the order on hand and send it when they get it, but this time they said my credit card would be credited and that was the end of that. What's up with that? I live in CA and totally believe all I have read about your research, etc. When I voted today, we had the punch type ballots and, believe me, everybody was checking their chads; even the people working there asked if we checked them. I agree that the lawsuits should start, but the big one that has already been filed in the one regarding the energy crisis and the money we should have received from Enron, etc. This whole debacle was to save Cheney's butt; otherwise, he would have done a little jail time. Keep up the good work.

and Begala just told Blitzer that he's been talking to Dem acitivsts with $$$ who already want to start the recall of Arnold. They want to get it on the ballot in March to coincide with the primary.

Interesting since he's said that he'll lay out his plans and policies after the election. So, at least his opponents will have something to debate against.

I feel that the Dems need to get the guts, put on the boxing gloves and take on the Republicans. Marquis of Queensberry rules be damned. It's time to jump into the mosh pit and fight. Otherwise, we might as well just give up and suffer in silence while our democracy crumbles beneath our feet.

40. Um...
LA is reporting a 10% turnout out of 3 million voters. Average statewide turnout is above 50%.

So the spread don't mean squat, there is still a potential million votes to be counted. Plus the provisional votes, seems the voter rolls got hosed in Dem precincts.

about people who have been registered for years, going to the polls and not being on the rolls, then getting a provisional ballot.

Here's the county returns: http://vote2003.ss.ca.gov/Returns/status.htm

There is possibly a million votes up in the air just with LA. More outstanding than the spread in question 1.
