Okay ! You Want to know Why we lost
Edited on Wed Oct-08-03 01:05 AM by candy331
Arnold the movie star was in and unless we could have gotten a very popular movie star to run against him then the race was his. That is why Issa got out he knew he did not stand chance against Arnold. I don't know if Barbara Boxer could have won either the people were moonstruck with a celebrity and were determinedto vote for him for that reason and THAT IS WHY WE LOST. THE PLAYING FIELD WAS JUST TOO UNLEVEL.

1. Well, it will be fun watching this clown operate over the next
couple of years. I hope the stories keep coming, I hope Enron gets lot more exposure.

If this is played properly, Republicans will lose even more credibility over the next 13 months.

3. you know, I am DONE saying.....
"Oh, now watch the republicans fail. Now it will all just unravel. Yeah, uh hum."

Our elected officials are reflecting the soul of our country, and it isn't good.

2. Unlevel where a village idiot won?
Nah, Issa was out long before Arnold stepped in. Long before. (but I suppose Cheney could have tipped him off).

Arnold won not because he is a movie star, but because of his movies of destruction, violence, shoot 'em up. That's what the American public digs.

And, like with Bush, the majority really digs having a leader who is dumb as a box of hair. Maybe it lowers the bar for what they can expect of themselves; make them feel good about their own moronic lives.

4. Agreed.
I thought that the 2006 election would come down to a Terminator v. Meathead contest.

If it does, I think Reiner might just have a chance. Schwartzeneger's weightlifting and acting skills are not going to balance their budget, and methinks California voters are no more accomodating of budget cuts than most parts of the country.

72% of voters disapprove of Davis, but 45% voted to leave him in office. That means CA is still a democratic state, just one with a protest governor. Arnold, and Ehrlich in Maryland, are pretty likely to go the way of protest governors like WV's Underwood.
