It Will Be Interesting To See And Tally The "Gag-Votes"...
(I say "gag-votes" for lack of a better description)

I wonder if you take all the throw-away votes for Gary Coleman and Larry Flynt and the big-chested stripper (porn star?) and put them in the Bustamante column.... would Arnold still have won?

-- Allen

P.S. Did folks vote for these oddball candidates as a "protest vote"? Or did they really think they could win? Or were they not taking the process seriously because it had become such a circus?

1. Haven't seeen vote totals but
If that asshole really got 48% or so, therre's no way he could have been stopped.

No one ever lost money underestimating the intelligence of the average American voter.

3. I think 'the circus' aspect played into the whole scheme of things
I bet Issa is feeling used ... I betcha that he was used to get the signatures required and he thought he was going to be the choice only to find Rove and Co., had other plans ... used his ego to do the leg work (and spend his own money) -- sucka

I wonder how Romans felt during the empire's decline and fall?
