When he quoted Adlai Stevenson's concession speech of 1952...Comparing his situation to a man who has just stubbed his toe in the dark:

"It hurts too much to laugh, and I'm too old to cry..."

1. I was thinking of McGovern last night, but because

Sargent Shriver was on stage with Schwarzenegger.

I don't mean to blame him - family and all that - but still, the sight of the Kennedys crowding the stage to cheer Rove's meat puppet said something about how far America's fallen in 30 years. It's a dark day.

2. Thank God I refused to watch...

I would have puked. This only reinforces the view of the Kennedy family I formed in 1980 when they helped give Reagan the White House. Its not about America or the Democratic party-its all about family-specifically, their family and how its interests can be maintained. I loved Jack Kennedy and adored Bobby. Frankly, the rest of the family can go to Hell.
