Florida, 2000 = California, 2004
Now that Rove/Bush have gained the levers of control of government in California for the GOP (Arnold merely a figurehead), look for the same kind of thing that happened in Florida in 2000 to happen in California in 2004 - anybody here remember Katherine Harris? A GOP governor? Do not underestimate the importance of the Repubs controlling the levers of state government for the election. I believe that is what the recall election was ultimately all about, and that its impetus and celebrity candidate were orchestrated from the White House, which cares nothing about the people of California, and respects them even less. What do you think? 55 electoral votes are a lot. You think Rove sat this one out, given those stakes?

1. They don't have total control
Just the Governorship.

The other Dems in place still have their jobs, I believe Sec of State is one of them

3. Disagree. It will make it more difficult
but if you have any inclination how fascist cabals work, then you know than "Van der Lubbe" will have acess to the Reichstag when the moment is right.

The Busheviks have discovered that when you reach a critical mass through the generous application of Goebbels v2.0 and you have enough followers willing to break the law, break the rules, shatter previous standards and go right to the bottom, there is no limit to what you can achieve.

The Nazis and Commies and Ferdinand Marcos all realized this. It is a principle (except the Goebbels v2.0, which requires the entirety of the might of 20th Century "progress" in the psychomanipulative arts) that is as old as humankind, I think.

So now, the Busheviks (and an increasing number of us in response to the hatred) view us as non-human scum who wronging is not much different than squishing a bug. Freeping a poll? Dirty tricks? Surveillance bugs in PA and MD? Puporseful scrubbing of Democrats from voter rolls? No problem. After all, it's not as if the Busheviks are committing these atrocities against human beings, as they see it.

And now we see it...too late. Like Gulliver and the Liliputians we have awoken to see the Founding Fathers' vision tied with a thousand tiny threads. And even now, the "Sleeping Giant" is still mostly asleep and may never truly awake, prefering it's comfortable immoble prison to the difficulties of deciding which direction to walk.

4. Until Democrats stand up and say this is wrong, well keep having results
like today. Democrats continue to blame other Democrats, instead of focusing on where the real wrong doing is coming from.
