Does the Prez of ACLU endorse Federalist Society?
I heard this, whet seems to be a VERY tall tale from some repuke 'friend' here at work. I find it awfully hard to believe.

This stemmed from the ruling of Judge Weber Wright, where she stated that Bill Clinton (Yeah, him again :eyes:) had obfuscated, and commited false testimony in his Paula Jones testimony. I mentioned Federalist Society shill, and he snapped this ACLU thing back...amazing the knuckledragger knows who they are.

Could someone who is more nuanced in the VRWC (which I already know is true) provide me with a little insight as to why Wright disbarred him, yet dismissed Jones' case as "without merit"? And if so, why would she do that if she though Clinton was lying under oath? Was there another judge I'm confusing her with? Am I getting my judges crossed?

I know this isn't about Arnie, so excuse my not adhering to the theme of the day. Thanks

1. She dismissed Jones' case
because it didn't meet the requirements under the law. Clinton lying about Monica had nothing to do with the merits of the Jones case.

2. Wright did not disbar him - he was fined for bad behavior toward Court -

not for perjury - and Ark GOP tried to dis-bar him based on that fine. That case in Ark was settled as a 5 year suspension.

So Bill has his license back in a few years, and then 5 years later can be readmitted - its just about automatic if he wants it - to practice before the USSC.

Nothing prevents him from applying and getting a lic to practice in another state while his Ark lic is suspended - at least that is how I understand it.

4. Another kick.
Maybe today, it'll stay on the first page a little longer than 10 minutes.

5. A quick look at the usual suspects...
... doesn't indicate that the ACLU or its president has formally endorsed the Federalist Society. Nothing on snopes, truthorfiction, a quick Google, or in the news releases of the ACLU.

Cheers.
