I was actively encouraged to debate a point - so I chose the CIA leak. Not only does my initial post appear removed, they banned me - and yet their posters are actually saying 'let him stay' - and they wonder why the word 'fascist' is tossed around so 'liberally' (pardon the pun) in regards to FReeperville.

Scary stuff - I can only hope that our Country doesn't truly fall into the same slippery slope.. (I know it kind of is already.. but there's always a chance for recovery)

I really was looking forward to the logical reasoning why no Independent Counsel should be allowed in the CIA leak matter. I guess that, by silencing the opposition, they feel somehow vindicated - sounds alot like the current Administration.

They say that they have no problem with Liberals there and enjoy debating with them. That was what I jumped on - the couple people I was directly interacting with seemed genuine. Then 'the man' stepped in and it was all over :) - needless to say, I wont be posting there anymore.. undercover or not - Not worth the effort.

They have no need to debate. They just put some celebrity up for vote and they win.. screw debates. They win without then anyway

It means that the folks running FreeRepublic aren't listening to the folks posting on FreeRepublic as closely as the folks running DU are listening to the folks posting on DU.

In almost every case when a regular DU'er is banned, there is some discussion on the matter, either in The Lounge or in Ask The Administrators.
