The GOOD news about California
California Democrats:

Lt. Governor, Cruz Bustamante
Secretary of State, Kevin Shelley
State Treasurer, Phil Angelides
State Controller, Steve Westly
Attorney General, Bill Lockyer
Insurance Commissioner, John Garamendi
Superintendent of Public Instruction: Jack O'Connell
U.S. Senate: 2 of 2 seats
U.S. House of Representatives: 33 of 53 Seats
State Senate: 25 of 40 seats
State Assembly: 48 of 80 Seats
Board of Equalization: 3 of 5 seats
Nanci Pelosi: House Minority Leader

Please, tell me what state has a better Democrat representation. I'll wait.

Meanwhile, we can forget all of the above and JUST concentrate on Arnold and we can boycott California and call ALL 38 million of us idiots and tell ALL the women of California they deserve Arnold. :eyes:

5. Texan here--also no room to talk
Having said that, I was disappointed to see the Gropinator win. But, do you realize: He won with about 25% of the vote. That's all. So I still have hope that, absent BBV problems, Cali will not go to the repukes in 2004.

Also, I predict Herr Groper has only one function--to rubber-stamp the sweetheart settlement with Enron, et al. Once that's done, the pukes won't care what happens to him. He has a single task, and he'll perform it. Hope the folks who voted for him are paying attention when that comes to pass!

Keep the faith. I love California, and will in fact be out there visiting family at Thanksgiving. Bay Area. Can't wait.

8. Thank you!
With all this Arnold obsession I SHOULD have mentioned that. Fear not, Ward Connerly has already announced it will be on the ballot again in November 2004. (sigh)

16. Wait on that already damnit!
All the attention that was given to the LAST recall shifted focus away from Bush's crimes. We can't allow that to happen again! It would be shooting ourselves in the foot.

11. Well not the state I currently reside in that's for sure!
I was born, raised and resided in California until moving to Tx 11 yrs ago. Needless to say I won't be boycotting California, in fact I have a trip planned in Dec to visit my brother and sister. :-) No one deserves Arnie, certainly not those in California who worked so hard against this BS recall cooked up by the slimy repukes.

17. I don't have the statistics, but Illinois sure feels like the epicenter
of the Democratic Party.

Democrats:

Governor - I can't remember his name - Oh wait, Blagojovich
Lt. Governor - I don't know who he is, but he's a Democrat
Secretary of State - Jesse White
Attorney General - Lisa Madigan
State Legislature - under Democratic control
US Senators - Dick Durbin and whoever wins Fitzgerald's seat

But none of these people rate as highly on the Democrat meter as Richard M. Daley, Mayor of Chicago. Hah!
