If The Right Wing Talks Highly of Your Candidate Is That A Good Thing
Edited on Thu Oct-09-03 11:03 PM by DemocratSinceBirth
After watching David Gergen and Bill Schneider pimp for Lieberman and Gephardt and trash Wes Clark I am convinced that the media is intent on serving up cannon fodder to * in 04....

Dick Gephardt, love him or hate him, is our Bob Dole... This nomination is too important to give as a proverbial gold watch....

Joe Lieberman... Gimmeabreak.... The man has all the charisma and spontaneity of a fire hydrant....

From this day on I'll take the 1984 approach to the media...

War Is Peace.....

Good Is Bad....

I Love Big Brother (Bushco)

The right wing media has taken me , a run of the mill garden variety liberal and turned me into a died in the wool radical....

Enough of my screed.....

The question

When the right wing media talks highly of your candidate is that a good or bad sign?

*edited for clarity- it's late and I'm tired....and my friend RichM suggested I change tin foil hat conspiratorialist to radical

Peace03

Brian

1. That They Ignored Clark
Edited on Thu Oct-09-03 10:35 PM by cryingshame
In the 2nd half speaks volumes.

Of course just before the end of the first half he challenged the Washington folks on stage:

"...This administration's preemptive doctrine is CAUSING North Korea and Iran to ACCELERATE their nuclear
weapons development. Now there are some of us who aren't in Washington right now, but I'd like to ask all
those who are...lets see some leadership in the United States Congress. Let's see you take apart that
doctrine of preemption NOW. I don't think we can wait until November 2004 to change the administration on
this threat. We're marching into another military campaign in the Middle East. We need to stop it."

PLEASE, all the Clark is PNAC people- EXPLAIN THE ABOVE QUOTE!

4. Actually,
that was the most important statement of the night. We talking serious shit here...then they put him on ignore, and had the Gergen and the Schnieder whores write him off.

6. Did you catch *ucker Carlson pushing Dean on crossfire?
He read a quote by Jebediah where Jeb said "Dean is my guy!"

I think the White House would much rather run against Dean than they would Clark or Kerry, because against those two the cod piece falls right off the front of Bush's flight suit.

8. That's the way I see it too, Brian
I was pretty turned-off watching the limited post-debate coverage on CNN. As soon as Schneider said it's going to come down to a horserace between Gephardt and Dean, the official debate spin became pretty apparent.

I suppose if the floating of "Clark is suddenly insignificant" doesn't work, they can always go to Plan B: "You know, he's got a bit of a temper..."

Good debate, regardless of spin, with the exception of that ditzoid "moderator" Woodruff.

10. Shouldn't the logical transition from garden variety liberal be to
radical, as opposed to "flaming tin foil hat conspiratorialist?"

I just want to nudge the country to the center left....

It's seriuosly tilted on it's right axis now....

Hell, I'd be happy to move the country to the center.....
