Has Schwarzenegger's vote topped 3,533,490?

I ask because that was the vote Davis got in '02.

One had Schwarzenegger at 47 percent, another at 48 percent. One had him with less votes than the no vote.

I fear my sense of antipathy is setting in now. If this is what Californians want, so be it. Maybe the state will last long enough under Schwarzenegger for them to regret it.

I have analyzed Arnold's votes here: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=104&topic_id=507480

The number of voters who voted yes on the recall and also voted for Arnold can be estimated as 3,443,922 since we know from exit polling that 8% of Arnold's votes came from voters who opposed the recall and only chose Arnold as their second choice (i.e. if the recall passed).

It's obvious you put a great deal of thinking into that calculation.

It seems to me that Schwarzenegger is very susceptible to a recall, but I really think some patience is required. Let him stew for a bit; if he hasn't accomplished anything by Christmas, Californians will find themselves in the Winter of Discontent and will be quite willing to sign a petition...

I felt very evil typing that, and I don't like that most Republican of character traits.

8. Well...

I was thinking more along the lines of having an idiot action hero as governor. I'm in favor of following the California standard to the letter.

But Billy Bob would make an interesting governor. Might not help Arkansas' reputation to have a governor named Billy Bob, though. But hey, we already had a governor living in a triple wide... can't get any worse than that, can it?

Do you remember Frank "Creation Science" White? He was pretty bad. Luckily the governor only had a two-year term at that time.

And how is life under Governor Triplewide? I haven't lived in the state since he slipped in when Ken Starr's witchhunt forced out Governor Tucker.
