Despite opposition from Congress, President Bush has pushed ahead with his faith-based initiative. He wants to fund religious groups to play a much larger role in running government social services. Already, taxpayer-funded faith offices have sprouted up in some of the most powerful federal agencies - including Health and Human Services, Justice, and Housing and Urban Development. These offices will help funnel billions of tax dollars to religious and other groups. But critics worry, are these religious groups doing what the law expressly forbids: trying to convert the people they are helping? NOW continues its report on the changing relationship between church and state. With the potential of billions of tax dollars headed to faith-based groups, the broadcast examines the debate between critics who claim that there is a political agenda that threatens democracy behind the faith-based initiative, and supporters who say religious groups only want to help people in need.

I just saw? Who was the bald guy gushing "how can anyone NOT love Arnold Schwartzenegger"? WTF? I hope he was being sarcastic about "a new morning in America" and likening Ahrold to the Kennedys. I don't know of anyone in Cali who feels as this guy does.

he apparently doesn't realize that he, and people like him, are a big part of the problem. but i got the impression that he was so impressed with himself that that idea would never cross his mind.

but then again, he did say that he worked in the media. and it was all ok with him, just more of what has been going on since the hearst days.

and they are SUCH an attractive couple, aren't they? sex sells. the media makes money off of it by actually deciding american political direction. what's wrong with that? why SHOULDN'T that be happening? ratings, you know......

ratings should NOT decide our politics. and besides, ratings is only a small part of it. they media is actively trying to line it's pockets by influencing politics. any idiot can see that.

It's mostly because of the association of the Kennedy family, that he won. The family all worked for him too. Maria wanted to be a first lady; evidently, she doesn't get enough publicity on her own.
