Yet, Limbaugh is gonna escape without even being charged.

"with liberty and justice for all"

I guess it depends on your definition of "all."

2. What was Chong's sentence again? I hope Rush will be charged

just like you or I would be charged, but it's likely he won't be. Look at all the other famous people, athletes as well as entertainers, who've had drug arrests without serving time.

Why did they go after Tommy Chong?

4. Ashcroft doesn't like Chong's movies?
I'm serious.

Pot smoking, lazy hippie who makes drugs fun.

No question that he was selected for prosecution.

5. Tommy Chong is being made an example to others
The right really hates pot-smokers as they tend to question a society that would make such a wonderful plant illegal, while that society promotes alcohol everywhere...even the Superbowl.

This sucks...I'm praying for ya Tommy!!!

Actor Tommy Chong Reports to Prison

The Associated Press
Friday, October 10, 2003; 1:08 AM

-snip-

PITTSBURGH - Actor-comedian Tommy Chong reported to a privately run federal prison to serve his nine-month sentence for conspiring to sell bongs and other drug paraphernalia over the Internet even as his attorneys prepared to argue for his release pending appeal.

Chong, 65, was sentenced Sept. 11 by U.S. District Judge Arthur Schwab in Pittsburgh. He reported Wednesday to a minimum-security facility run for the Federal Bureau of Prisons near Bakersfield, Calif.

-snip-

Assistant U.S. Attorney Mary Houghton argued that Chong grew wealthy glamorizing drug use and trivializing law enforcement in his films and said Chong used his characters to promote his business.

7. Yep, it's a sad day in Amerika
when Tommy Chong goes to jail for mercandising bongs and Rush (pigboy) Limbaugh and Ken Lay will never serve a day.
If your post had said Anne Coulter goes to jail for treason, you'd of got a hundred replies, sad.

8. Tommy Chong goes to federal prison for selling glass
and Rush Limbaugh takes a walk on a crime that were it anybody else, would get him a mandatory minimum in Florida of ten years and a mandatory minimum federal rap of 25 years.

Since there's evidence of multiple offenses, it could also come under a three strikes law. The SOB was all hot for sending a guy to prison for life after stealinhg candy bars, but the SOB is going to walk on this.

No prosecutor is going to touch Rush. Not a one. Ashcroft has probably already put out the orders to the federal prosecutors and I'm sure Jeb has him covered in Florida, after all, look at how much time his daughter did on a Mandatory Minimum sentence crime.

Life's a shit sandwich, the more bread you have the less shit you have to eat.
