I'm sure the people over at Free-republic would like to thank you
To those that answered this way

I would vote for a 3rd-party candidate (5 votes, 14%) Vote
I would vote for Bush (1 votes, 3%) Vote
I would not vote at all (1 votes, 3%) Vote
Wesley who? (1 votes, 3%) Vote
Undecided (1 votes, 3%)

You can paint this any way you want the reality is you would be

helping elect the idiot son for 4 more very long years these votes could be the difference. I know you can vote any damn way you please but this is truly fucking depressing.

This is not politics as usual this is deadly serious shit.

Not voting for the Dem nominee. I'm sure the people over at Free-republic would like to thank you all in advance.

Well Fortunately I live in Canada.

4. I've got my Australian Passport & Citizenship papers in the lock box.

I'm also considered a British subject, whatever that means..

So i'm hedging my bets right now, but I have a 3 year old & another

one on the way so my Wife is ready to go if things turn ugly on this side

of the pond. We have enough saved to just get up & go.

We don't really care about our stuff. All my relatives live in Europe

& Australia.

Hope it never comes to that.

2. Yes you are fortunate to be living in Canada these days
and I wish we could all secede from the Union and join you as Canadians. We could cordon off the government part of Washington and leave Bush and company alone there in their own little Vatican sized country. Wouldn't that be something?

3. I will leave the country if Bush gets in again and I am ABB
Anyone who votes for a 3rd party candidate gives a vote to Bush...and the blood is on their hands. I have already stopped speaking to relatives and friends who voted for Nader and Bush in 2000, and my son and stepson are possibly going to be called up in this debacle of a "war". I consider anyone who voted for a 3rd party candidate in 2000, 2002, or for Bush, as much as a murderer as the Bush regime itself, and just as guilty of allowing the coup d'etat of the United States, and the murder of our soldiers and the citizens of Iraq.
Let them live with the guilt. I like Michael Moore, but I doubt I can forgive him for backing Nader, and I will never forgive Nader for what happened.

6. Hi Mari333 it's not easy to get into Canada but it's not impossible

either. You just need a skill of some-kind like a Nurse, or Electrician
or Carpenter or some other trade. Then if you can get a friend or relative or employer to sponsor you. Basically signing a document that states you will not be a drain on the system or apply for Government help for x amount of time.

On the other hand if you have $200,000 to invest in Canada or to start your own business your in. I know the rich get richer...

They are absolutely desperate for skilled Nurses in Canada.

I dont care what your opinion of me is...anyone who votes for a 3rd party candidate is voting for Bush, and anyone who did voted IN Bush, who is murdering our soldiers, and has murdered thousands of civilians already.
Ideals are just dandy. Reality is that voting for a 3rd party candidate is a vote for Bush, and was a vote for Bush, and , deluded as the people were who voted for 3rd party candidates, or maybe they were idealistic and kids, who knows..they can either look in the mirror and say "I helped Bush get in office with my vote" or not..
Take it or leave it.

15. What a lovely fascist viewpoint, thank you!
That's just as outright insane as your comment of "...anyone who voted for a 3rd party candidate in 2000, 2002, or for Bush, as much as a murderer as the Bush regime itself..."

Well, not necessarily but I'm too tired to spin things right now. The point is, your comment is harsh and extreme, and I didn't even vote third party, though there have been plenty of times why I couldn't blame them for doing so!

As Moore backed Nader, why not come all the way out and call him a 1st degree murdering psycho too. :eyes:

The real evil is Bush and the adversaries in the 2000 debacle were Ketherine'n'Jeb, the Stuporeme Court, and Al Gore's LACKLUSTRE CAMPAIGN. The Green party is a fringe crackpot party, I'm constantly amazed at how much consideration they're given around here when things go bad, yet how everybody otherwise ignores them during times of "we should try to convince the Greens to vote Dem again" - but then, a healthy viewpoint is a rarity anywhere in this country. :-(

17. I do blame the Gore campaign also for not fighting it hard enough
I voted for Gore, and I have no respect anymore for people who waver about any of the Dem candidates..we are living in a coup, and it will get worse if people keep whining about this or that Dem..just vote Dem, or you are voting for Bush, its as simple as that.
Yes, Katherine Harris and all the rest of the thieves all have the blood on their hands..
I know people meant to be "idealistic" when they voted 3rd party..well guess what..it doesnt work..it caused Bush to win and SCOTUS to be bought off...and the murders of thousands of people..
so if you vote 3rd party again, fine...just remember its a vote for Bush/warcriminal.

11. Where are you on the other threads?
As of right this minute, there are ten folks on the Kucinich thread that will not support Kucinich with a vote if he gets the nomination. Is Westly that important to you? I'm still waiting for the other shoe to drop, as far as Mr. Clark's campaign is concerned, so I voted Wesley who?

13. Voting Clark is like voting Repuke anyway...
Come on 9 people out of 32000+ is not bad.

:eyes:

And people should vote for who they want to vote for in the end, that's the principle of the thing.

Personally, I didn't vote in that poll - but I wouldn't have voted for any of those options you'd stated.

But it's also possible the BFEE will rig the election or rig an incident in order to cancel the '04 elections. Don't get so hot on these 9 people so fast.

16. Not all voters are yellow dog Democrats and/or
have taken the ABB pledge. If there are candidates who are good with crossover voters and/or attracting new voters, and are in the top tier (money raised and organization), then those folks need to be nominated and encouraged to run as Prez and VP.

I think most of us here at DU would be really disappointed if we had to hold our noses and vote for Liberman, when we have other godd candidates who are attracting non traditional Dem voters.

I'll remind you of the most important one:

"You're with us or against us."

I hope this thought haunts you for a while.

19. Could it be that...
after seeing poll after poll of "Would you vote for Lieberman over *?" or "Would you vote for the Tidy Bowl man over *?", or "Would you vote for (any Democrat, Republican, Independent, Green, movie star, brand of toothpaste, etc...)over *?" people are getting bored with it, and just selecting one at random?
