to take a photo like that. It is undoubtably a preplanned and posed image. All you would need is a stage light and a camera. Bush has a long history of faked photos, though. Ever since before he stole the presidency photographs of him have been photoshoped to put him in new locations with different people than those he posed with. Check it out yourself.

Put a copy into a graphics editor like photoshop, and zoom in on the edge between the front of his hair and the "halo". In fact if you look carefully at the original you can see it too.

What you will see is the yellow tinting his hair. The only way this could happen to the degree seen is if the background was intentionally blurred using photoshop (or some other such program).

That means they intentionally blurred the presidential seal, and the ONLY reason to do that is to put this halo like image around his head.

In fact, consider the seal itself. The yellow border on the seal is nowhere near as wide as can be seen at the nape of his neck, so they have even digitally removed the dark background from the centre of the seal itself!

At first I though it was just a case of the photographer catching a coincidental alignment, or even intentionally aligning the head in this way, but it goes much further. The image itself has been intentionally manipulated to make this effect even more pronounced, and that doesn't happen by accident.

How can we bust these bastards on this?? They want to make sure this insane fascist really does get 4 more years to destroy this country - and start WWIII!!!

I didn't mean that the background was fake, only that the background had been artificially blurred to create the "glow" effect. Look at where his hair touches the seal border (his right temple) there is no tinting of the hair itself, and the dark background of the seal is clearly visible behind his neck. Also notice that the yellow border is narrower than it was in the first picture.

I realise that this photo has been taken from a higher angle (dropping the relative position of the seal) and that his head is turned, but the amount of dark background now seen shows that it was blurred out of the original photo.

The yellow in the fascist's hair is a JPEG artifact. It follows the JPEG DCT block boundaries in exactly the stair-step pattern that would be expected in such a low-quality JPEG image.

The seal blurred out as a result of the camera's depth of field.

Look at the white shirt collar that crosses the yellow seal behind his neck. There is no tinting there. Look at the hair on the back of his head, no tinting.

In fact the only place in the whole image where this tinting occurs is on the hair at the top front of his head.

As for the depth of field, I agree that some of the blurring is caused by this, and never said it wasn't. What I am saying is that the blurred background has been artifically blurred more to enhance the glow effect and remove the bits of dark background that should have appeared behind his neck.

JPEG artifacts don't descriminate like this. Most of the image is very sharp, with little or no bleeding of colour from one area to another. Just look at his shirt collar. You can't get much sharper than that!
