Clark's personal lawyer (and aide) called up and heading to Jordan

So when did the 39th Infantry Brigade of the AK National Guard get called up, anyway? How do I find that tidbit out? Was the unit just due for activation or did this happen when someone noticed Mr. Edwards was a memeber of the unit? Things that make my tinfoil bonnet spin on my head.

What worries me is that the military has certain rights over the person of anyone in service, do they not? Like, troops have to allow samples of DNA to be taken and have whatever shots and vaccinations command feels necessary, that kind of thing. Am I right of wrong on that one?

So here we have Mr. Edwards, private attorney and campaign aide for a candidate the WH seems to have a concern with, being activated. What protects this man from being chemically induced to violating lawyer/client privledge once he is back in active duty? Am I going total tinfoil to be concerned with this?

For the record, I am neither for nor against Clark in his bid for the nomination. I am four square against the misuse of power to advance an evil agenda. When did the 39th get the call? What do they do that makes their trek to Jordan (and in all likelyhood, Iraq) a routine call up? Could a whole unit be called to active duty just so the Chicken Hawks can get their mits on Clark's lawyer?

I don't think he will be interrogated or be "chemically induced" into providing any information about Clark, BUT. . . .

. . . I DO NOT think for a minute that it is just a coincidence that he is being called up.

One of Kerry's criticisms of Bush, and he mentioned this this past Sunday in reply to George Will, was that Bush had turned the Reserves and National Guard into regular active duty troops by the long deployments they have to endure.

I really feel sorry for LTC John C. Edwards and the troops under his command that are being taken out of jobs and careers and sent to an uncertain future and long deployment to the Iraq quagmire. I am sure that Wesley Clark is equally concerned about his friend, and that this will inspire his efforts to get rid of that idiot in the White House.
