Bush drops from 55 to 51 percent in Ipsos-Reid poll
http://www.ipsos-reid.com/pdf/media/mr031010-1.pdf

And his reelect is 36 percent definitely for, 35 definitely against. The one disturbing thing is, in head-to-head matchups against Clark and Dean, Bush leads by 15 and 18 points respectively. That seems awfully high to me, given how low his reelect is. OTOH, Gore trailed by double digits for a long time, too.

3. The interesting thing about that Gallup poll
Is they did two polls within a few days of eachother. That's very unusual. They had that 50% approval (9/19-9/21), then they had a 55% (10/6-10/8) and then 2 days later they did another poll that had him at 56% (10/10-10/12). Now why would they do 2 polls so closely spaced when they usually wait a couple of weeks between polls? It seems to me they are trying to create an illusion of an upward trend by having to data points in a row going up. Every other poll is trending down except Gallup.

7. good catch
Gallup a wholly owned subsidiary of the BFEE? I was certain they were "financed" by, but this is just silly. Isn't it amazing how little is even hidden by these evil fuckers?

And the methodology is pretty questionable, too. Like 300 likely Dem voters, compared to mostly over 75$ Repuggs.

10. I noticed that, too
And they didn't publish any polls during the outbreak of Traitorgate. Trying to protect Chimpy, perhaps?

5. Yeah. This should actually be a story in and of itself
The media is crowing about this Gallup poll and ignoring every other poll that has him trending downwards. It's very discouraging to see this sort of blatant propoganda...

15. I think they want security, but if you were an Iraqi, would you say
"no?" Wouldn't you expect that you'd be on a list of potential "terrorists" or that you might find yourself in lockup as a security threat?

8. I also checked out the newest Investor's Business Daily
Christian Science Monitor poll on http://www.tipponline.com
and saw Bush's leadership index is down to 53.5. That's a combination of three factors, one being his approval rating. I cab't find his approval rating there yet, but when I do I'll post it.

9. i'm not worried about the numbers vs. Clark and Dean
they are not well known to the masses the way Bush is and for many people at this point you pick the one you know the most about. Besides he isn't much over 50% against either of them. The real news is that almost as many people want to defeat Bush as want him re-selected. The key will be those in the middle who have not decided one way or the other.
