BBV- HR2239- Hastert, Delay, and Nay Blocking the Bill
You can all help on this, but specifically, Illinois, Texas, and Ohio BBV'ers.

The leadership of the majority party in the House is purposely blocking HR 2239, Holt's "Voter Confidence and Increased Accessibility Act."

Dennis Hastert of Illinois, Tom Delay of Texas, and Boy Nay of Ohio.
(I think those are the right states)

I have been told there are Republicans in the House who side with Holt on this but they will not buck the House leadership.

That is effectively saying, "We do not support honest, accountable voting." "We do not support your Constitutional right to vote and have that vote COUNTED AS CAST." "We do not support an election process that can be audited for accuracy and to prevent fraud."

We need a lot of pressure, now, on these individuals and others, to get the Holt legislation on the floor of the House.

If they are not for protection of our most basic Constitutional right, then let everyone know about it. Tell others, write to newspapers, whatever- get the word out.

This is one bill that should be non-partisan in a big way.

1. Once again, it's the blocking of this simple method of accountability...
that provides the best reason to suspect cheating has occurred and will continue to occur.

7. Ohio, Texas and Illinois: We need to embarass them into support
Who could fight this bill without being embarrassed. Guaranteed they are QUIETLY blocking it, so one of the most important things we can do is get people to ask them questions to force them to publicly state their case.

One way to do this is to communicate with alternative papers in these states and get a reporter to call with a well phrased question, then report it, then circulate it.

10. Ask them...
...why they won't support a bill to insure their constitutional right to vote? That without it, there is no insurance whatsoever, that the vote is counted as cast. That our vote is our contract with our government, and that contract must take a tangible, readable, and verifiable form.

We can't keep a copy of it, but we darn sure have the right to verify that piece of paper that is reflects our intentions correctly.

To do otherwise is to deprive us of our constitutional right to vote.

Without it, it might as well be Stalinist Russia, when who counts the votes is more important than who votes.

You cannot stand against the right to an accurate, accountable vote count, and be a patriotic American.

11. Keep Pressure on
Get vocal, get the message out, write your papers, TELL people who is responsible for keeping honest voting away from citizens.
