Joe Wilson gets truth-teller award in D.C., and Ms. Plame is there
Joe Wilson received an award in D.C., named for the soldier who exposed the MyLai massacre. Ms. Plame was there, having been assured she would not be photographed, and Joe addressed her during his speech.

1. How do you pronounce "Plame " ?
(That isn't a French name is it?) Seriously, I only read about the Joe Wilson story in print--it is never on the air--so I don't know its pronunciation.

4. That Press Club award ceremony would have been fascinating
with even

Daniel Elsburg in attendance!

From DeepModem Mom's article:

"Thirty years after the Nixon administration, Ellsberg compared the Wilson scandal to the Nixon era. "I believe this situation is exactly parallel," Ellsberg said. "By trying to punish him and his wife, they're trying to intimidate those who might be thinking about coming forward."

Nixon administration operatives broke into the office of Ellsberg's psychiatrist looking for a way to discredit him, Ellsberg recalled.

"Hopefully the trajectory of this episode will end very similarly," he said, "with indictments, resignations.""

5. Joe Wilson is absolutely fabulous!
His devotion to his wife is touching. I hear she's quite the looker. Must also be pretty brainy.

Fascinating couple. I hope no harm comes to her because of Team Bush tactics. If anything ever did happen to her I pity that bunch of fools. I believe Wilson would never sleep until they got what was coming to them.

Those evil bastards.

7. Wilson is right to be angry that Bush is so nonchalant about this.
The Washington Post story states that Bush is determined to find the leaker, but fails to note that Bush has already said that the leaker might not be found. Interesting that he has given up before the investigation has barely begun. How often does Bush say that he might not be able to do something?

9. A well deserved award, imo!
I feel so sad for the whole family. What the Bush cabal did to them and, by extension, all US citizens is horrific.
