5. The scariest thing about this story

is that Rumsfeld, the Pentagon, and the Bush Administration are standing by him. That leads me to believe that they too see this conflict as a cultural/religious one. And I thought Samuel Huntington's Clash of Civilizations was garbage! Well it won't be if we don't get these guys out of there. I mean, this high-ranking general just confirmed the suspicions of millions of muslims and makes Al Qaeda look right in believing that America's goal is to convert the world to Christianity! Perhaps one of the biggest nat'l security blunders in our military's history.
