Today's Orwellian Spectacular: Who was it For?
I have been canvassing people all day and while the Chimp in Chief was spewing his propaganda they were either:

Still Asleep (include me here)
In the Shower
Shuttling kids to daycare
On BART or the Bus getting to work

I have been unable to find anyone that saw it.

I'm in California and I guess Washington, Oregon and Alaska residents were similarly pre-occupied. Hawaiians were blissfully still in the Land of Nod.

I can only assume that most on the East Coast and in the Middle had jobs to go to and are not usually parked in front of CNN early to mid-morning.

So, if this was meant to be a 'National Address', why was it held at a time when most Americans would not see it?

2. The main thing is to provoke the idea in people's heads that Bush has a

3. Who knows
It is strange. If it was national don't they usually do those type at prime time when people are home? It's political theatre. It's so Bush could attack the democrats behind the military. Go figure. Has Hersh or anyone else said anything about today's little stunt?

7. It Was Prime Time In Baghdad...Your Bribe Money At Work
This stuff was more "red meat"...a speech that was wholy designed for his base...to fire them up in hopes they'll keep up doing all his dirty work.

You and I didn't hear anything of substance...since there wasn't any. But for a wingnut, there was every catch-phrase, buzzword, talking point and rhetorical games that is getting to be virtually a daily affirmation for this regime.

Boosh reminds me of the kid who gets in trouble and tries to rally all his friends and have them do the fighting. His address wasn't deciferable for "mere mortals" and anyone with intelligence, but if you're kool-aided into denial and ignorance, this speech was a "home run" :puke:

8. So All The RW Talking Heads , * Apologists and MSM......
could - after the fact - take soundbytes and snippets from the address - and make the interpretation for all those that didn't see it and evaluate it for themselves.

They can tell everyone how great it was and what a plan * has for victory and not ever let on that it is just a rehash of everything he has lied to us before.

and implausible storylines - so they'd see the crying over the letter from the guy who expected to die in Iraq, find it believable, and tell everyone who missed it how moving it was and he really does care and shit. Yes, I really do think they're that calculating. Or maybe they were just testing the new Bush with Life-like Emotions™ on a limited audience.
