Marines and Iraqi soldiers questioned people in Saadah, Iraq, eight
miles from Syria, Thursday, Dec. 1, 2005. Amid growing pressure to
bring U.S. troops home from Iraq, President George W. Bush is refusing
to set a timetable but indicating that by 2006, Iraqi forces will be
sufficiently trained to let American troops shift to less visible and
possibly less dangerous roles. (AP Photo/Jacob Silberberg)

miles from the border with Syria, Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2005. In a
speech Wednesday President George W. Bush said the U.S. military
presence in Iraq is set to change, by making fewer patrols and
convoys, moving out of Iraqi cities and focusing more on specialized
operations aimed at high-value terrorist targets. (AP Photo/Jacob

1. The eyes of that child
will haunt me. I weep for the lost generation of Iraqi children. How can we look our own children in the eyes when we are killing children, or allowing children to die of starvation and disease in record numbers in Iraq and other countries.

try to find a film "From a Child's Eyes" it's a documentary about children who were effected on 9/11 both in the US and Afghainstan. The kids in Afghainstan are definietly in a horrible position. I'll never forget this one scene I saw where it was three little girls in a class room. Their teacher was also a psychologist and worked with them on emotional/mental issues. Once the teacher walked by the three little girls (who were always close and hugging together, especially the youngest one who was about six or so) and the youngest of the group every time the teacher just casually walked by she would shrink and want to hide. :( It was so sad. And the little girl is so cute. I love the little bow in her hair. Sweet.

4. Oh god! That poor baby!
 Just when I lament about how bad I have it, I see this and weep for this poor, innocent child who faces more horrors than I can possibly imagine!
