13. Chill, FR skews polls with automatic scripts or "bots"

At DU we do it the old fashioned way, One DU'er at a time.

If we outnumber them 10 to 1, perhaps it's because we have a proportionally larger base. Freepers can't win without the bots.

27. For those of us that have been tracking the use of these polls

They get reported in the print media or on television if they go Bush's way (especially 2-3 years ago). DUing polls has the net effect of eliminating potential propaganda pieces used to smear Democratic positions, so I do not view the practice as "silly".

We all know online polls are bullshit, but our media treats it as "online polls are bulshit unless they say that Americans are fat, hapy, and love their Bush, then they are considered surveys to be shouted from the highest rooftops".

polls are skewed when a person repeatedly deletes their cookies so they can vote multiple times. That what the freepers do, we don't play that game.
