My wife decided to send some books to Iraq for the troops
We have been doing a little house cleaning and decided to get rid of some books we had. some really quality books that we thought might be enjoyed by both our troops and then maybe even some Iraqi children or ??. She tried several places that receive stuff and what they required from her was too much. They wanted a full description of each book including content itemized in detail. She did not have the time or patience to do that so we dropped the books off at friends of the library. Too bad...It was a nice thought I guess.

12. My combo was just the opposite. I sent mostly romance to some
women stationed in Baghdad. I never heard frmo them so have no clue if the books arrived or not. They may be lost somewhere in Iraq!

14. They would be very handy when toilet paper runs out. I can't
think of any other use for them.

6. Got the name of the organization? So I can spread the word to not
aid them in any way. Tell people to not donate items to the group.

Because the ONLY reading material on the "forbidden to mail" list to the troops in Iraq is porn. That's it. It's illegal to mail it.

They still manage to obtain it though - Iraq is chock full of porn DVD's and was so prior to American troops getting there.
