Cost of Gas is going down all over the country....BUT Crude-oil prices rose above $59 a barrel Friday,. Does this make sense?

1. Pay now or pay later
I personally think they are artificially keeping the prices down so that people will spend more money and travel during the holidays...then they will lower the boom on us in January.

3. bingo!!!
Although it may not be that conspiratorial. Wild price fluctuations are par for the course. Panic and speculation drives the price up above its rational selling point, s bit of demand slack pulls it down, speculators on the wrong end of that swing over dump and the price overcorrects on the down side and on and on. However, as global demand increase for cheap oil is outstripping global cheap oil production increase - there is no where for the price to go, on average, over the long term, but up and up and up.

5. you got that right!
My power bill for the month was up 65%. The amount I will spend on the extra cost(s) for the power bill AND FOR GASOLINE is almost $100.00 more a month now.

And gee, just think, come January, my health insurance goes up another $75 too.

Fun times we live in aren't they? :sarcasm:

:kick:

4. I wish diesel would come down.
Still $2.46 here. Most stations I am not even allowed to fill the tank.

7. Nope, the price goes down everytime
someone threatens to investigate the high prices. It works sort of like the terror alerts. You can always tell when they are going to happen like clockwork.
